After nearly three weeks of growing pains,
STET turned over a new leaf,
Sloughed off its old skin,
Slipped on a nice new shirt,
To emerge,
A  new
And glorious butterfly

It left
Without a backward glance.
What remains here is
No more than a husk,
A memorial to a difficult birth,
The home,
The cradle,
The nurturing place of something,
Once weak and vulnerable,
That has taken flight
And now
Soars
Wild and free.
